We are a group of 20 university friends who rented all 3 properties (Farmhouse, Horseshoe Cottage and Coach House) for exclusive use- it was perfect for a big reunion.
It was great not to be sharing this fabulous venue with anyone else, although any one of the buildings would be great as a stand-alone rental.
Everyone had a fantastic time, it’s one of the best weekends we’ve had together. We will all be recommending the place to all of our friends, and are tempted to go back in the winter for a different perspective.
The three buildings are nestled together around a lovely courtyard in acres of grounds surrounded by lovely views. We were all amazed by the quality of the buildings and furnishings, which are all of the standard you would want for your own home. Bedrooms were all great, with really comfortable beds and excellent en-suite facilities.
The main attraction is the brilliant communal space, both inside and out, but especially in the main farmhouse. With the orangery leading out onto the patio we were able to mingle easily; we collected all the smart garden furniture and BBQ s in one area where we could eat and play boules on the walled lawn.
The owner has been really helpful and patient with communications, answering all of our questions very promptly, and even letting us in early so that we could watch the World Cup afternoon game. The ladies who greet you with the keys left us with beautiful fresh flowers throughout the house and homemade Victoria Sponges in each building.
We would all highly recommend this property for the excellent standard of comfort, combining rural farmhouse atmosphere with all the usual modern amenities, right down to a massive American fridge freezer and WiFi.
