'Absolutely 1st class'
Our recent stay at Uppermoor Farm was
absolutely first class – it deserves every single one of its five stars. It was like staying at a really wealthy relative’s home – you feel comfortable enough to relax and help yourself, but you know it’s far too posh for you to ever actually live there. All 18 of us – aged 8 months to 85 years – had the most amazing family celebration. The house itself, the views and the unexpected cake all made for a brilliant long weekend. We even had glorious sunshine in March, which I hope we can book for next time we come – see you again next year.

"Pure Luxury"
The thing that I loved about Uppermore Farm was the high standard of the
accommodation, I slept in a wonderful room with a solid wood four poster bed, and the kitchen was stocked with Denby pottery - pure luxury. There was a choice of outdoor spaces so you could move to stay in or out of the sun, and beautiful views from every side. There was a good choice of short walks nearby and only ten minutes drive to Ashbourne with lovely shops, a superb fish and chip shop and excellent bargains in the second hand shops.

"An ideal Get-Away"
Uppermore farm is a wonderful place to stay - I have not stayed in self-catering
accommodation that can beat it. Everything is superb - from the facilities to the location. We stayed at the Farm - a total of four families across a week plus a few extras coming and going - so 17 people at one point - and still plenty of space to chill out in one of the two sitting rooms, the large kitchen, dining room or extensive outdoor space including a dining patio. All of the bedrooms are on suite with top of the range fittings which made us not want to go home. There is plenty to do nearby and a walk on the doorstep with plenty of cows much to the delight of my two year old daughter. 10/10 I would recommend this to anyone who wants a delightful holiday.

"Repeat Performance" We have been
lucky enough to stay at Uppermoor Farm on two occasions, the most recent one being a family trip to celebrate my husbands 40th birthday. We were even more impressed on our returning stay!! This time we knew to expect the little extra touches like the fresh flowers and home-made cake but we were still amazed at the quality of the soft furnishings and the spacious accommodation throughout. We slept in the master bedroom, which was quite huge, with a very comfortable large bed and luxury en-suite bathroom. The room had views on two sides, one across the courtyard and beyond and the other onto beautiful rolling countryside. Our other favourite bedroom was the one with the Four Poster bed and huge walk-in rain shower. Downstairs there are a further two en-suite bedrooms which for our family were ideal to give everyone their own space and meant we never felt on top of each other! The huge dining space allowed us to all eat together and we were able to entertain other family members who just visited for the day. The kitchen is very well equipped and has more than enough crockery and cutlery to invite extra guests for dinner if you wanted to. There is an aga style cooker and of course a microwave if you need it! Also at your disposal is a slow cooker which would be perfect if you wanted to come back to a lovely warm stew after a day out in the Peak District. Even on this second trip we found plenty to do in the local area and we can't wait to visit again and explore more......

"Luxury Cottages for large groups & beautiful surroundings"
We had such a lovely long weekend at
Uppermoor Farm. We were
greeted with a very warm welcome and the homemade cake and biscuits were such a lovely touch. The Cottages and surroundings were just beautiful. Very clean and tidy and so spacious! We managed to go for walks and cycling on the Tissington trail. We definitely will be returning as there is so much more to explore and the Cottages are perfect for family reunions!

"Exceptional”
If you are looking for something special in Derbyshire, then this is the place.
The setting is fantastic and the accommodation extremely comfortable.
We stayed in the Farmhouse and the Coach House - both were furnished to an extremely high standard. You also get a warm welcome from Barbara who leaves you with a delicious home made cake.
Sitting outside looking over nothing but countryside, glass in hand, with the sun setting behind the hills......Perfect!

“Easter Birthday Surprise ~ Just Perfect"
I just wanted to say "thank you for such
a brilliant weekend at Uppermoor Farm. We had a fabulous time there; the surprise worked out fantastically and went down a storm. I know we were really lucky with the weather, it made the weekend all the more wonderful. The Farmhouse Cottage really was perfect, such a great layout, loads of room, great facilities and beautifully kept; it was a really lovely place with stunning scenery and the freshly baked cake and great outdoor space made it just perfect".
We are already looking at coming again in the future; my Dad even checked the availability for Christmas and New Year whilst we were there, but unfortunately (for us) it's already booked! Thank you for all of your help in making the weekend so special, I really appreciate everything you did for us; and we hope to visit Uppermoor Farm again soon.

“A hidden gem in the lovely Derbyshire Dales”
We were fortunate to stumble on this luxury property's web site. What a find! We stayed in Uppermoor Farmhouse which accomodated 12 adults comfortably. On our approach to the property we were over whelmed with the location. Our expectations were by far exceeded on our guided tour of the property. It is finished to a very high specification, beautifully clean with a luxurious feel to it. All 6 bedrooms had en-suite facilities, which was fantastic.A gorgeous home baked cake and tea tray was laid out for our arrival and on closer inspection realised the flowers were in deed fresh not artifical, lovely. There is walking straight on the doorstep but Uppermoor Farm is nicely located for all Derbyshires main attractions- Chatswoth House, Sudbury Hall etc. There are also lots ot nice places to eat if you don't fancy cooking. All in all I would highly recomend this property and suspect early booking would be advisable because it won't be a 'HIDDEN GEM' for long!

"Wonderful, spacious farmhouse"
We spent a weekend here to celebrate two of the groups 50th birthday. This spacious farmhouse easily accomodated us all. It is very well equipped and coped with large cooked breakfasts and evening meals. Perfect location for walking or visiting nearby Ashbourne. We did the Dovedale walk and it was bliss to get back for a hot shower or bath, then sit in front of the woodburner with a glass of wine. A lovely weekend.

"Our Best Christmas Ever"!
........My dream came true this Christmas. We were looking for spacious accommodation for the whole family at Christmas in a beautiful location but we didn't want to compromise on quality. We found everything we were looking for at Uppermoor Farmhouse - four poster beds, beautiful walk in showers, log burner and an Aga style range in a fantastic kitchen (the turkey turned out perfectly too!) Uppermoor Farmhouse could not have suited our needs more perfectly and we had the added delight of thick snow making the surroundings look like a picture postcard. I cried when we left, I loved the Farmhouse so much and we have been lucky enough to have the opportunity of renting the Farmhouse again for 2011 - it will be the highlight of our year and thank you again Jan from the bottom of my heart!!!

"Beautiful Farmhouse"...........
"Thank you for letting us stay for the weekend in your beautiful farmhouse. You really have a stunning property with furniture and decoration more fitting for a home than a rental property. As such we felt it was a home from home and had a lovely relaxing weekend. The extra touches such as the birthday cake for my wife and the fruit, fresh flowers and fully equipped utility and kitchen go beyond a business approach and make it much more personal. It was a nice surprise for my wife and great for us all to catch up as most of us hadn't seen each other in a couple of years."

"Fantastic luxury accommodation in the heart of the beautiful peak district, a perfect combination" .........
"Uppermoor farmhouse sits just above Parwich in the heart of the Peak District. A beautiful location where we enjoyed a memorable family weekend in luxury accommodation. Travelling to the Peak District to celebrate a family birthday we were looking for family accommodation that would allow us to make the most of our weekend. What a find we had with Uppermoor farm, it surpassed our expectations! Jan the owner couldn't have been more helpful prior to our arrival and the directions
were spot on which was great as we arrived late in the evening after a long jouney. What a treat to be greeted by a home made victoria sponge cake. Just one of the many examples of the little touches that the made the weekend so perfect. The farmhouse is a fantastic house which is great for groups of friends or families. It is stylish and very comfortable with beautiful furnishings and great attention to detail making it a real hidden gem. The whole house has been thoughtfully designed to make it a real holiday home and somewhere that we would definitely return to in the future. The accommodation is spacious and created to allow communal areas to be shared by friends yet the bedrooms allow absolute privacy with the luxury of en-suite facilities for each bedroom which is great if sharing with groups of friends. The panoramic views from the house highlight the beauty of the location. It was certainly one of the most comfortable and luxurious holiday homes that we have stayed in and would highly recommend it to people wanting a taste of luxury in a beautiful setting."
