Here's what people say about our Peak District Cottages at "Uppermoor Farm "

"Fantastic luxury accommodation in the heart of the beautiful peak district, a perfect combination"

"Uppermoor farmhouse sits just above Parwich in the heart of the Peak District. A beautiful location where we enjoyed a memorable family weekend in luxury accommodation.
Travelling to the Peak District to celebrate a family birthday we were looking for family accommodation that would allow us to make the most of our weekend. What a find we had with Uppermoor farm, it surpassed our expectations!
Jan the owner couldn't have been more helpful prior to our arrival and the directions were spot on which was great as we arrived late in the evening after a long jouney. What a treat to be greeted by a home made victoria sponge cake. Just one of the many examples of the little touches that the made the weekend so perfect.
The farmhouse is a fantastic house which is great for groups of friends or families. It is stylish and very comfortable with beautiful furnishings and great attention to detail making it a real hidden gem. The whole house has been thoughtfully designed to make it a real holiday home and somewhere that we would definitely return to in the future.
The accommodation is spacious and created to allow communal areas to be shared by friends yet the bedrooms allow absolute privacy with the luxury of en-suite facilities for each bedroom which is great if sharing with groups of friends.
The panoramic views from the house highlight the beauty of the location. It was certainly one of the most comfortable and luxurious holiday homes that we have stayed in and would highly recommend it to people wanting a taste of luxury in a beautiful setting."

"Home Away From Home"

" We are a group of 20 university friends who rented all 3 properties (Farmhouse, Horseshoe Cottage and Coach House) for exclusive use- it was perfect for a big reunion.

It was great not to be sharing this fabulous venue with anyone else, although any one of the buildings would be great as a stand alone rental.

Everyone had a fantastic time, it’s one of the best weekends we’ve  had together. We will all be recommending the place to all of our friends, and are tempted to go back in the winter for a different perspective..

The three buildings are nestled together around a lovely courtyard in acres of grounds surrounded by lovely views. We were all amazed by the quality of the buildings and furnishings, which are all of the standard you would want for your own home. Bedrooms were all great, wih really comfortable beds and excellent ensuite facilities.

The main attraction is the brilliant communal space, both inside and out, but especially in the main farmhouse. With the orangery leading out onto the patio we were able to mingle easily;  we collected all the smart garden furniture and BBQs in one area where  we could eat and play boules on the walled lawn.

The owner has been really helpful and patient with communications, answering all of our questions very promptly, and even letting us in early so that we could watch the  World Cup afternoon game. The ladies who greet you with the keys left us with beautiful fresh flowers throughout the house and homemade Victoria Sponges in each building.

We would all highly recommend this property for the excellent standard of comfort, combining rural farmhouse atmosphere with all the usual modern amenities, right down to a massive American fridge freezer and WiFi. "

 "Beautiful Farmhouse"

"Thank you for letting us stay for the weekend in your beautiful farmhouse. You really have a stunning property with furniture and decoration more fitting for a home than a rental property. As such we felt it was a home from home and had a lovely relaxing weekend. The extra touches such as the birthday cake for my wife and the fruit, fresh flowers and fully equipped utility and kitchen go beyond a business approach and make it much more personal. It was a nice surprise for my wife and great for us all to catch up as most of us hadn't seen each other in a couple of years."

"The perfect place to use as a base!"

Dear Jan,

I am writing to you to offer my thanks after visiting the ‘Coach House’ at Uppermoor Farm last week.

Myself and two friends decided to rent the Coach House after being impressed by the website. It looked liked the perfect place for us to use as our ‘base’ whilst exploring the Peak District on mountain bike.

On arriving we were really impressed with the location. Sitting on top of a hill makes for a fantastic view. We met Barbara who was very polite and made us feel at home. We all agree that the cake that was left for us to enjoy over the weekend was probably the best we have ever eaten! We realised quite quickly that the Coach House looks every bit as good as it does on the website and that the cleanliness and attention to detail gives an impression of real class.

The purpose of our trip, besides a change of scenery, was to explore the more hidden treasures of the Peak District. Uppermoor Farm and Holiday Cottages are very close to a right of way that leads to the ‘Limestone Way’ and the famous ‘Tissington trail’. Both routes offer fantastic opportunities to really explore the beauty of the National Park.

Each day, after covering many miles we all genuinely looked forward to returning to The Coach House Cottage at Uppermoor Farm due to the 'homely comforts'. It quickly began to feel like home and the leather chairs in the Coach House were certainly far more comfy than the saddle!

I will certainly be returning and would highly recommend Uppermoor Farmhouse and Holiday Cottages to anybody that enjoys the countryside and is looking to stay somewhere that offers true comfort, class and style.

Yours sincerely

Nick Lewis

"The Coach House –  Just what the Dr. ordered!" at Uppermoor Farm, Derbyshire

Our break at The Coach House was really 'just what the Dr. ordered'.

We booked our stay at The Coach House in July 2010. We set off early from Surrey and made such good time that we arrived so early at Uppermoor Farm – but this was not a problem to Barbara the housekeeper, who told us that the Coach House was ‘all ready & waiting for us’. We were met and greeted by her together with a very big, delicious sponge cake as part of our ‘welcome hamper’ – which lasted us for several days, due to its size!

The property itself was just perfect for us. The open plan kitchen, sitting room with all mod cons had been thoughtfully furnished and meant that I could cook without being cut off from the rest of the family. There is one double bedroom and one twin bedroom each with its own luxury en-suite shower room. My parents joined us for part of the week and because the property is all on one level, access was easy and certainly plenty big enough for four adults.

The cottage is situated in an elevated position with lovely views across the countryside. Unfortunately, as we were recovering from nasty chest infections it meant that we didn’t go out walking as much as we usually do but the cottage was so comfortable that we just relaxed and enjoyed doing ‘absolutely nothing’…………we only wished our stay could have been for longer!

Jan, the owner was extremely helpful and attentive and nothing was too much trouble. We can certainly highly recommend The Coach House and will be returning as soon as we can get away again...............
